The American Heart Association designed the BLS program for Healthcare Providers Course to prepare a wide variety of healthcare providers to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use of the AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely, and effective manner. The course includes adult, child, and infant rescue skills in both the out-of-hospital and in-hospital settings.
Pre-requisites:
- Purchase the Provider Manual and bring it to class. The American Heart Association requires all participants in the BLS course to have access to the most current BLS Provider manual (2020 Guidelines) before, during, and after the course.
