EMT Refreshers   

This course is a 10 hour CEU Critical Care Paramedic course.  Topics include the following: 

Airway Management; Rapid Sequence Intubation; Mechanical Ventilation; CPAP; BiPAP; High Flow-Nasal Therapy; Arterial Blood Gas Analysis; Tube and Finger Thoracotomy Insertion and Maintenance; Hemodynamic Monitoring; Intra-aortic Balloon Pumps; Blood Product Administration; and Critical Care Pharmacology. This course is designed for the experience Critical Care Paramedic to refresh your memory and learn the latest skills and techniques.  This also provides the Critical Care portion of CEUs required for license renewal. 

This EMT Advanced Refresher Course is tailored to meet the needs of experienced EMT's, providing a comprehensive update on the latest advancements in emergency medical care. Participants will leave with renewed confidence, ready to respond to a wide array of medical emergencies with competence and precision. This course is 25 hours long. 

This course is an approved 20 hour DOT National Standard EMT-Basic Refresher, which covers both Mandatory and Flexible Core Content. Topics include: Airway and Breathing, Cardiology, Medical Emergencies, Trauma, and Obstetrics with Pediatrics. This course is designed for the EMT Basic completing the 20 hour refresher requirement, EMT Basic's completing CEU's, EMT Basic candidates in  need of assistance in successfully completing the NREMT-B exam, and "Re-entry" students or EMT's who have allowed their National Registry Certification to lapse within a two year period. Classroom discussion, skills practice, and group activities will be conducted during this 20 hour course.
