Pediatric Advanced Life Support   

This course aids the pediatric healthcare provider in developing the knowledge and skills necessary to efficiently evaluate and effectively manage seriously ill infants and children. Participants will learn to assess for evidence of respiratory and circulatory compromise, establish treatment priorities, and intervene to stabilize the child.

Prerequisites:

  • Take the precourse self-assessment at eLearning.heart.org/courses 
  • Print out the certificate and bring to the class
  • Practice identifying and interpreting cor ECG rhythms
  • Study basic pharmacology and know when to use which drug
  • Basic BLS skills
